As we seek out the virtues of the directions in the medicine wheel; we become whole. In the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women movement we see that play out collectively. Through symbolism, the red handprint, they have transmuted anger and chosen awareness and inclusion. Seeking ideas and solutions. A very serious problem has peacefully been brought to the fore. In that spirit; Tyrel has returned the red to its rightful place. Red is the color with which Native Americans have always identified themselves. The goldleaf handprint is representative of the East the colors of the medicine wheel radiate up to show the growth and the need for the insights that lie along the Red Roa. It is the direction of renewal, birth, and action. The MMIW has so beautifully brought the hope of the East to their cause. Tyrel personally, wants to see all movements towards justice and equality to follow similar paths. We never win battles; we only pass inequity onto another demographic in our hatred of another. He sees hope in all things, and will never do otherwise.
