For Luis Toro, every painting is an invitation to slow down, to look closer, and to connect. Rooted in his Venezuelan upbringing and a lifelong bond with horses and nature, Luis’ work goes beyond the visual. Each piece carries a message, often hidden and waiting to be discovered. Luis described that when creating one of his pieces, “Enjoy the Silence”, he was capturing not just a scene but a feeling. Emphasizing the lack of “human nuance” present, Luis wanted to highlight the calmness of being alone with your horse. Set in the early morning, Luis’s favorite time of day, the painting invites viewers into a moment of pure natural harmony. Written into the mountains themselves are three messages that serve as reminders: “mountains never have a need to speak”, “trust your gut”, and the namesake, “enjoy the silence”.
