Joe is a full-time, local artist born and raised in Montana. His passion for art is in oil painting and bronze sculpture. When he is painting or sculpting, he prefers to work from nature. Whether it’s a model, still life, or landscape; he feels it helps capture the individual personality of the subject matter. Because of this, his work can vary in terms of mood and technique. Joe strives to produce an image of aesthetic expression that passes through his filter of creativity, while reflecting the subject and still making it his own. The excitement and impressionistic expression Joe enjoys in the field carries over to the studio. The inspiration of nature and the accomplishments of the masters and some contemporaries is what fuels his desire and passion to paint and sculpt. Joe’s art work has been showcased in art galleries in Big Sky, Jackson Hole, and Santa Fe
