Darina Palmire is a Czech born ceramist based in Ocala, Florida.
Inspired by both the natural world and ancient type of ceramics, her work focuses on creating both abstract forms with textured finishes as well as traditional Greek-inspired vessels. The common theme that runs through her work is the use of natural colors well as appreciating the natural state of the clay without further glazing.
In her repertoire there can be found various items from vases, large center piece bowl and other decorative items.
Each piece is hand-built and completely unique. Since nothing is wheel-thrown, there will always be some asymmetry in her pieces, which only showcases the level of craftsmanship and skill that goes into creating each piece.
Darina is constantly working on new designs, coming up with new ideas and perfecting her skill.
By being a certified interior designer herself, Darina is passionate about decor. With that in mind her pieces add a contemporary touch to any home.
