Diana McClaran

Diana McClaran is a Montana-based wildlife and equine bronze sculptor working in the lost-wax casting tradition.  Raised on a ranch in Iowa, she developed an early and lasting connection to animals that continues to guide her work.

Her path to sculpture began after discovering a bronze foundry, where she learned each stage of the casting process and became a skilled patineur.  This hands-on foundation continues to shape her work, with an emphasis on strong anatomy, clear form and natural movement.

McClaran’s sculptures focus on wildlife both large and small, often capturing quiet, observational moments.  Her work has been shown in juried regional and national exhibitions and has received Marily Newmark Awards for Realistic Sculpture and both the Academy of American Equine Artists and the Society of Animal Artists.
