Undivided Love

Undivided Love was originally created as a smaller one of a kind sculpture for a friends charity. She had told Tyrel the story behind her horse therapy foundation. He wanted to surprise her with something meaningful to her. One day while heading home for work; she saw a lone horse in a field. She stopped to greet it. This turned into a daily ritual that continued for a couple years until the horses owner found out. The owner was moved by the Love they shared and gave the horse to her. He is the horse that she started her charity with. Tyrel wanted to create the division. The was once the fence in a unique and dramatic way.

This new larger version, by some form of fate, has its own unique and fitting story. Upon deciding to create a large version; Tyrel went to his local horse barn to look for the perfect horse. He found his model and contacted the owner to ask permission to sculpt him, Lucca, from life. Tyrel met his owner and her mother for their first session. Her mother pulled Tyrel aside to express her excitement. She proceeded to tell Tyrel that her daughter, a senior in college, had only just reunited with her horse the week prior after a battle with cancer. She had been confined to her mothers home to avoid infection for most a a year. Her mother told Tyrel that his phone call the week prior had made her daughter extremely excited. To Tyrel, it seems it was not by coincidence that he chose Lucca. A few days after the first session; he called Marissa, Luccas owner, to ask if she’d pose for the sculpture as well. I am grateful for the chance work with Marissa and Lucca, feel so glad to have briefly brightened her life, shared Tyrel.
