The Last Bison features a forlorn Native American warrior who has just shot the last bison; an ancient pictograph atop an imposing sandstone monolith. The sandblasted wood base is split down the center by an 1830 British coin. The first Indian reservation in America was established in 1830. This rift runs between his legs and all the way to the sandstone. On its course; it breaks the sacred hoop; a significant Native American symbol of balance and harmony.
